The word Aesthetic is derived from the Greek, “Aisthetikos” (meaning “esthetic, sensitive, sentient”), which in turn was derived from, “Aisthanomai” (meaning “I perceive, feel, sense”).
Greek philosophers felt that aesthetically appealing objects were beautiful in and of themselves. They saw a veneration of the human physical form and the development of corresponding skills to show musculature, poise, beauty and anatomically correct proportions. More recently, John Dewey has stated that Aesthetics and Ethics is in fact reflected in our understanding of behaviour being “fair” – the word having a double meaning of attractive and morally acceptable.
You are invited on a journey of epic proportions in our quest for aesthetics.
Aesthetics, to the majority, translates to physical beauty at the most basic level but aesthetics stretch far beyond a physical manifestation and must begin to form from deep within your soul.
True aesthetics is a lifestyle that draws in and creates more aesthetic people around you – Your actions being the catalyst of positive change in your own and other peoples lives.
Living aesthetic doesn’t make us perfect or exclude us from making mistakes, but we are aware enough to accept responsibility, learn and grow from every situation. This is true aesthetics – The continual strive for improvement and being aware.
Some of us will achieve aesthetics while some are naturally gifted or develop the trait without even trying or realising…But that’s irrelevant – Aesthetics isn’t a destination, it’s a continuous journey for betterment of oneself and the people we surround.
Negative people will come at us, but we simply put up our guard and expertly deflect their shots of negativity into the distance. Our mind is strong, our skin is tough and we will not be breached.
Yet we are aware of how our actions effect people around us – With our unbreakable mentality comes great responsibility.
Whilst we will never let others dictate our lives or dampen our happiness, we will also never use the excuse “we don’t give a f*ck what people think” to act destructively and in an unethical manner that isn’t constructive to our brothers and sisters. If we ever do, then we will be Man/Woman enough to take responsibility and make amends.
Our mission for improvements of mind, body and soul inspires and fuels others to achieve the same.
If our brothers or sisters should temporarily fall on this journey, we reach out and pull them back on to their feet with renewed vigour for their quest.
We will leave our mark on this planet – we will leave a positive impact on the world and we will imprint ourselves in history. Fading and withering away into the shadows without a legacy is easy.. Our message will be heard, no matter how loud we need to shout from the rooftops.
We shall stand for justice, fighting tooth and nail for our values.
We are not perfect but that’s ok, for perfection doesn’t exist – We are simply striving for aesthetics and becoming the absolute best we can be.
Join us on this quest to get aesthetic..and become epic!
